Stable children – Eltera Report #2/2019

We found the children living in a small room attached to the animal barn. They had two beds and a wood stove. Their clothes were stored in boxes. Five small children and their parents live in this home.

The school is one mud road away from home, their clothes carry the smell of animals and smoke, and their unwashed hands hold each other on the way to school and under the desks. They don‘t have notebooks and pencils, so they just sit in the back of the class, trying to be as quiet and unnoticed as they can. And they seem to have been unnoticed for a very long time.  

Every morning, their mom rushes out to the animals. She has no time and no food to prepare for them. They are left alone and the older ones help the younger ones to get ready. They start their way to school at whatever time. They don‘t know what time it is. There is no clock on the wall and if there was, they wouldn‘t know how to read it. 

They don‘t know the days of the week either. They know the week is over, whenever the teacher says: „no school tomorrow!“

How should we help? What should we give them? This year we decided to teach them about dignity. We wanted them to know they are special and we celebrated with them for the very first time their birthdays.

We showed them how to take care of their village and clean it by picking up the garbage. We taught them that we all have to work for a life lived in dignity.

Everyone can do something for himself and for someone else. 

The children are still learning how to read and write. We do this during the after-school program where the children also receive a warm meal. Every Wednesday and Friday we have lunch together. Everyone does his part: Ionut and Alin hand out the boxes of food. Denisa lays a napkin in front of every child and Maria comes behind her and sets the silverware. Remus and Silviu place the cups and two slices of bread. We say a prayer and give thanks, as we know that every day we live and everything we have is a gift. And then, we enjoy our meal. When we finish, Gabi washes the silverware and the cups, Andra rinses them, and Florina dries them, together with the other children eager to help. 

Shortly after lunch, the children take a seat at their desk and are always happy to start a new lesson. We learn the letters and learn how to use them. There is great joy when we put a word together and even greater when a whole sentence is formed. 

We would like to create an educational support center that will be opened every day for the children in Fiser.

ElteraMed – Eltera-Bericht Nr. 1/2019

Während der kalten Zeit haben wir ein medizinisches Team zusammengestellt und waren in zwei Dörfern in der Region Brasov – Maierus und Arini – unterwegs. Dort boten wir 52 Kindern, zwischen 8 Monaten und 15 Jahren alt, medizinische Beratung und Behandlung.

Unsere Ärzte zeigten viel Sorgfalt und Einsatz gegenüber den kleinen Patienten. Alle sind einen langen Weg gelaufen, um zu uns zu kommen. Viele von ihnen hatten schlimme Erkältungen und einige hatten auch andere gesundheitliche Probleme, weshalb sie in Zukunft mehr Unterstützung benötigen.

Wir hatten eine Mal-und-Spielecke für die Kinder, die warteten, für die Eltern hatten wir Tee und Kekse. Nach der Untersuchung gab es Spielsachen, Mützen, Handschuhe und Socken für die Kinder.

Als ein Resultat dieser „Wanderklinik“ boten andere Ärzte aus Brasov ihre Mithilfe bei zukünftigen medizinischen Projekten an. Wir würden gern in verschiedene Orte gehen, in denen es keine Arztpraxen gibt, und wo die Eltern sich keine medizinische Behandlung für ihre Kinder leisten können.

Unsere Freiwilligen waren großartig. Immer mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen hörten sie den Kindern zu und gaben ihnen gute Ratschläge.

Luca (9 Jahre alt) ist einer der Patienten, die wir in Maierus antrafen. Eines Tages würde er gern in die Schule gehen. Er benötigt Operationen an beiden Augen, und wir haben bereits einen Arzt gefunden, der dazu unentgeltlich bereit wäre.

Alle diese Kinder leben in großer Armut. Die Meisten gehen nicht zur Schule, die Kleinen sind nicht im Kindergarten angemeldet.

Sara ist ein Teenager aus Arini. Sie würde gerne in die Schule gehen, aber hat in der achten Klasse aufgehört. In der Schule war sie das einzige Mädchen aus ihrem Dorf. Alle anderen sind bereits ausgestiegen, also hat sie sich dazu entschieden, zu Hause zu bleiben und mit ihrer Mutter auf die kleinen Geschwister aufzupassen. Sie traf uns in der Klinik und meinte, dass sie ihre Ausbildung fortsetzen will, auch wenn sie die einzige aus ihrem Dorf sein wird. In der Zukunft will sie unserem medizinischen Team helfen.

Als wir in Maierus waren, kamen Mütter aus dem Dorf, um unsere Ärzte zu sprechen. Sie hatten ihre kleinen Kinder auf dem Arm. Einige von ihnen hatten hohes Fieber.

Wir haben diese Medizinkampagne gestartet, um medizinischen Problemen vorzubeugen, zu helfen, und die soziale Situation auszuloten. Wir arbeiten derzeit daran, ein größeres medizinisches Team zusammenzustellen. Außerdem wollen wir Bildungs-Unterstützungs-Zentren eröffnen und den Kindern in dieser Hinsicht helfen. Wir wollen, dass alle Kinder aus Maierus und Arini im September zur Schule gehen.

ElteraMed – Eltera Report #1/2019

During the cold period, we put together a medical team and went to two villages in Brasov County: Maierus and Arini. We offered medical consultations and treatment to 52 children, between 8 months and 15 years of age.

Our doctors showed much care and dedication towards the little patients. They have all walked a long way to get to us. Many children had bad colds and some of them also had other health issues that will need farther assistance. 

We had a colouring and activity corner for the children waiting for their turn. And tea and cookies for their parents. At the end of their medical check-up, the children got toys, hats, gloves, and socks. 

As a result of our medical clinic, other doctors from Brasov offered to be involved in future medical projects. We would like to go to different areas where there are no medical clinics in the village and the parents can not afford medical treatment for their children.

Our volunteers were amazing. They smiled at the children, listened to them and gave them good advice. 

Luca (9)  is one of our patients we met in Maierus. He would like to go to school one day. He needs surgery on both of his eyes, and we already found a doctor that is going to perform that on him, free of charge. 

All these children live in sheer poverty. Most of them don’t attend school. The small ones have not even been registered in kindergarten. 

Sara is a teenager from Arini. She would have liked to go to school, but she quit in 8th grade. She was the only girl from her village attending school. Everyone else dropped out, so she decided to stay at home and help her mom watching her little siblings. She met us at the medical clinic and she said she would like to continue her studies, even if she will be the only one from her village. She would like to be a part of our medical team in the future. 

While we were in Maierus, mothers walked from the nearby village to come to see our doctors. They had to carry their small children. Some of them ran a high fever. 

We initiated this medical campaign in order to prevent or help their medical problems, and also to identify their social situation. Right now we are working on putting together a larger team of medical staff. We also hope to establish educational support centres and assist the children in this matter. We would like to see all the children in Maierus and Arini attend school in September.

ElteraMed – Raport Eltera #1/2019

In perioada rece am organizat o campanie medicala pentru doua sate din județul Brașov: Măieruș și Arini. Au fost consultați 52 de copii cu vârste cuprinse intre 8 luni și 15 ani.

Medicii noștri i-au consultat pe copii și le-au oferit gratuit tratamentul corespunzător. In aceasta perioada foarte multi copii sunt răciți. Mulți dintre ei au și alte probleme de sănătate. 

In timpul de așteptare copiii au colorat, ei și însoțitorii lor au fost serviți cu ceai și prăjiturele, iar la finalul consultației au primit cate o jucărie, căciulițe și șosete.

Ca urmare a campaniei noastre, și alți medici din Brașov doresc sa ni se alăture în mod voluntar și ne dorim sa ajungem în zone unde nu sunt cabinete medicale sau unde familiile nu își permit tratamentul medical.

Voluntarii noștri sunt deosebiți. Le zâmbesc copiilor, ii asculta și le oferă toată atenția.

Luca, unul dintre copii consultați, își dorește sa meargă la scoală. Are nevoie de o operație la ochi și deja avem un medic care s-a oferit sa il opereze în viitorul apropiat. Multi dintre acești copii trăiesc într-o sărăcie crunta. Cei mai multi dintre ei nu merg la scoală. Iar cei mici, nici măcar nu sunt înscriși la grădiniță.

Sara ar fi vrut sa meargă mai departe la scoală, dar în clasa a 8-a a renunțat pentru ca era singura fata din sat care lua microbuzul spre scoală. Toate colegele ei au renunțat, așa că a rămas și ea acasă să aibă grijă de frații ei mai mici. Acum insă, ne-a cunoscut pe noi și este determinata sa continue școala, chiar dacă o va face de una singura. Își dorește sa fie și ea ca noi, parte din echipa medicala.

Din satul alăturat au venit pe jos mame cu copiii în brate. Unii dintre ei aveau febra.

Aceasta campanie a fost inițiată cu scopul de a interveni și întâmpina problemele medicale ale copiilor, dar totodată de a identifica situația lor sociala. In momentul de fata lucram la organizarea unei echipe mai mari de medici. Iar speranța noastră este ca anul acesta sa înființăm centre educationale pentru a oferi sprijin acestor copii. Ne dorim ca în luna septembrie, toți copiii din Măieruș și Arini să urmeze o forma de învățământ.

Die Sommerschule – Eltera-Bericht Nr. 2/2018

Die Sommerschule ist eine Bildungsveranstaltung in den Sommerferien und Teil der Aktion Ein Bleistift für Rumänien. Das ist die Definition.

In Wirklichkeit stehen wir früh auf und rufen uns gegenseitig an, um sicher zu gehen, dass wir alle rechtzeitig fertig sind. Wir verlassen Braşov spätestens um 8 Uhr morgens, denn um 10 Uhr warten schon alle Kinder aus dem Dorf Fiser auf uns.


Wir rennen durch den Laden, kaufen 40 Jogurts und 40 Kekspackungen als Snacks. Während der Autofahrt planen wir den Tagesablauf. Wer von uns wird die jüngste Gruppe übernehmen, wer macht die Unterrichtseinheit über Geometrie, wie lange dauern die Lektionen und bloß nicht vergessen, alle Laufzettel abzustempeln.


Als wir ankommen, strahlen uns viele fröhliche Gesichter an. Wie könnte man das verpassen?


An einem Tag regnete es heftig. Das hat die Kinder nicht davon abgehalten, zu uns zu kommen. Alle waren zwar nass, aber da.

Ein Mädchen sagte zu uns: „Das waren die allerbesten Sommerferien!“


Wir haben Fiser ausgesucht, weil wir dort eine fünfköpfige Familie kennen, die wir schon einige Jahre unterstützen. Außerdem haben wir eine Partnerschaft mit der örtlichen Schule, um den Kindern dabei zu helfen, regelmäßig zur Schule zu gehen.


Die Sommerferien sind sehr lang, wenn man nichts zu tun hat. Also gingen wir für einen Monat zu den Kindern und versuchten, ihnen auf spielerischen Wegen Neues beizubringen. Alle Kinder aus dem Dorf machten mit.

Diese Aktion hieß „Ferien-Pass”. Jedes Kind füllte einen Pass aus. Nach jeder Aktivität bekamen sie einen Stempel auf eine Seite, insgesamt vier am Tag. Und am Ende konnten die Kinder mit einem vollen Pass mit uns einen Tagesausflug zum Zoo in Braşov unternehmen.

Die Kinder machten Chemieversuche mit Teresa. Peter brachte ihnen Mathe bei, indem sie Spiele machten. Alex zeigte ihnen, wie man geometrische Formen zeichnet und erkennt. Matthias erklärte ihnen Rhythmen aus der Musik. Daniel und Christa redeten mit ihnen über Gehorsam, Glaube und Verzeihen.


Ich war die Ziege. Die Ziege, die zwei ihrer Kinder verlor (ein rumänisches Märchen). Ich erzählte den Kindern alles, was mir und meinen Kindern passiert ist. Nach der Geschichte haben die Kinder „Zeugenaussagen“ darüber gemacht. Die Frage lautete „Was ist passiert“, und die Antworten waren die erste Rhetorikübung der Kinder.

Wir brachten ihnen Dinge über Länder, Reisepässe und Städte bei, und sie brachten uns Dinge über ihr Dorf bei.

In unserer Kindergruppe fanden wir einige mit traurigen Augen, manche wurden von einem ihrer Elternteile aufgegeben, die meisten waren sehr, sehr arm, aber alle hatten sie Herzen, die voll Hoffnung sind.


Ende Juli stiegen wir dann mit allen Kindern in den Bus und fuhren zum Zoo in Braşov. Einige einsame „Großeltern” aus dem Altenheim in Fiser begleiteten uns bei diesem Ausflug.


Wir bekamen freien Eintritt in den Zoo. Besonderen Dank an Horia Nistor und Alin Pinzaru, den Vorstand des Zoos. Delaco stellte alle Milchprodukte für die belegten Brote.


Nun haben die Kinder einen anderen Glanz in den Augen, etwas mehr Freude. Und jedes Mal, wenn sie uns sehen, haben sie ein Gesicht voller Begeisterung. Sie wissen, dass wir gute Absichten haben. Wir werden sie während dem nächsten Schuljahr wieder besuchen. Du hast sieben Monate Zeit, darüber nachzudenken. Im Mai werden wir unser Team für die Sommerschule 2019 zusammenstellen und wir wollen Dich als Teil unseres Teams.


Und das ist eine ernste Sache. Deine Aufgaben sind:

  1. Früh aufstehen, auch wenn du im Urlaub bist.
  2. Zu uns kommen und den Kindern etwas Nützliches und Interessantes lehren.
  3. Eine Illustration, Geschichte oder Aktivität für Deine Unterrichtseinheit vorbereiten

Wenn du nicht als Lehrer begabt bist, kannst du trotzdem mithelfen:

  1. Zwischenmahlzeiten servieren.
  2. Wassermelonen aufschneiden.
  3. Brote für den Ausflug belegen.

Und falls Du keine Zeit hast, um hier mitzuhelfen (irgendjemand muss ja arbeiten), kannst Du Geld für Materialien und Aktivitäten spenden, erwähne im Betreff, dass es für die Sommerschule ist.


Wir schätzen und pflegen das Recht der Kinder auf Entwicklung. Vielen Dank, dass Du uns dabei hilfst!

The Summer School – Eltera Report #2/2018

The Summer School is an educational program that takes place during the summer vacation, as a part of A pencil for Romania Project. That’s the definition.

In reality, we get up early, load the car with materials, call each other to make sure we are all ready on time, so that we can leave Brasov not later than 8:00, because all the children from the village are waiting for us in Fisher, before 10 o’clock.

We rush through the store to buy 40 yogurts and 40 cookie packs, for snack. While in the car, we plan details for the day. Which one of us takes over the youngest group, who will teach the lesson on geometric shapes, how long is everyone’s lesson and we shouldn’t forget to stamp their passports at the end of each lesson.

When we finally arrive, there are a lot of big smiles waiting for us. How could we not show up?

One day, it has rained very hard. This didn’t stop the children from coming to our summer school program. They were all there. Wet, but there.

“This was the best summer vacation ever”, said one of the girls.

We chose Fisher because there is already a family of 5 children which we have been supporting over the years. We also signed a collaboration contract with the school in order to help children attend school regularly.

The summer vacation is so long when there is nothing to do. So, for one month we went to the children and tried to teach them new things in fun ways. All the children from the village took part.

The program was called “Vacation Passport”. Each child made a passport. Each page was going to get stamped at the end of every activity, so four stamps in a day. At the end, the children with a fully stamped passport could join us for a day field trip to the Zoo in Brasov.

The children have done chemistry experiments with Teresa. Peter taught them math by playing games. Alex showed them how to create and recognize geometric shapes. Matthias taught them about rhythm in music. Daniel and Christa talked to them about obedience, faith and forgiveness.

I was the goat. The goat that lost two of her kids (Romanian traditional story). I told the children all that had happened to me and my kids. At the end of the story, the children gave interviews as witnesses of the whole drama. “What happened?” And their answers were their first public speaking lesson.

We taught them about countries, passports, cities, and they taught us about their village.

Among our group of children we found some with very sad eyes, some were abandoned by one of their parents, most of them were very, very poor, but they all had hearts filled with hope.

At the end of July we got everyone on the bus and took them to the Zoo in Brasov. We had some lonely “grandparents” from the Fisher Elder’s Home join us on the field trip.

We got free of charge access to the Zoo in Brasov. Special thanks to Mr Horia Nistor and to Mr. Alin Pinzaru, the director of the Brasov Zoo. Delaco sponsored all the diary products for the sandwiches.

Now, the children seem to have a different spark in their eyes; a bit more joy. And every time they see us, they smile really big. They know we are up to something good. We will be visiting them during the next school year. You have seven months to think about it. In May, we will be putting together our team for the 2019 Summer School and we would love to have you as part of it.

And this is serious business. You will have to:

1. Wake up early, even if you are off from work.

2. Come and teach something useful and interesting.

3. Prepare an illustration, a story or an activity connected to your lesson.

In case you don’t have teaching abilities, you can still help by:

1. Serving the snack.

2. Slicing the watermelon.

3. Making sandwiches for the field trip.

But, if you can not make yourself available for these activities either, (someone has got to work), you could donate money for materials and activities, mentioning it’s for the summer school.

Școala de vară – Raport Eltera #2/2018

Școala de vară este un program educațional desfășurat în timpul vacanței de vară în cadrul proiectului Un Creion pentru România. Asta este definiția. 

În realitate, ne trezim dimineața devreme, încărcăm mașina cu materiale, ne sunăm unii pe alții să ne asigurăm că suntem gata de plecare cel târziu la ora 8:00 din Brașov, pentru că ne așteaptă toți copiii din sat, la Fiser, înainte de ora 10:00.

Alergăm prin magazin să cumpăram 40 de iaurturi și 40 de eugenii, pentru gustare. Apoi în mașină, punem la punct ultimele detalii. Care dintre noi preia grupa mica, cine face lecția despre forme geometrice, cât durează lecția fiecăruia și să nu uităm să le ștampilăm pașapoartele la finalul lecției.

Când în sfârșit ajungem, ne așteaptă o grămada de zâmbete. Cum să nu ne fi trezit noi de dimineață? 

Într-una din zile a plouat foarte tare. Asta nu i-a oprit pe copii. Înainte de ora 10:00, toți erau prezenți. Uzi, dar prezenți. 

„A fost cea mai frumoasa vacanță din viața mea” spune una dintre fetițele nelipsite de la program. 

Am ales Fișer pentru ca acolo deja se află o familie cu 5 copii pe care o ajutăm și pentru că am încheiat o colaborare cu școala din sat pentru a ajuta copiii să frecventeze școala în mod regulat. 

Vacanța de vară este așa de lungă atunci când nu e nimic de făcut. Așa că timp de o lună am mers la ei și am organizat activități ce le-au adus noi cunoștințe într-un mod distractiv. Toți copiii din sat au participat.

Programul s-a intitulat „Pașaport de vacanță”. Fiecare copil a confecționat un pașaport. Fiecare pagina urma a fi ștampilată la sfârșitul fiecărei activități, și anume patru pe zi. Iar la final, cine avea pașaportul plin, putea veni în excursie la Brașov.

Copiii au făcut experimente chimice cu Teresa. Petre i-a învățat matematică prin joc, iar Alex i-a învățat să formeze și să recunoască forme geometrice, Matthias i-a învățat despre ritmul muzical, iar Daniel și Christa despre ascultare, credință și iertare.  

Eu am fost capra. Capra cu trei iezi. Le-am povestit ce mi s-a întâmplat mie și iezilor. La final, copiii și-au însușit roluri ca și cum ar fi venit televiziunea, și au dat interviuri în calitate de lup, iezi sau vecini. „Ce s-a întâmplat?”
Așa ca asta a fost prima lor lecție de vorbit în public. 

I-am învățat despre țări, pașapoarte, orașe și ei ne-au învățat despre satul lor. 

Am găsit printre ei copii cu ochii triști, părăsiți de unul dintre părinți, copii cu lipsuri, dar cu sufletul bogat. 

La sfârșitul lunii iulie i-am urcat pe toți în autocar și am plecat la Grădina Zoologică la Brașov. Am luat cu noi și câțiva „bunici” singuri de la Azilul de Bătrâni din Fișer. 

Am beneficiat de acces gratuit la grădina zoologică. Deosebite multumiri domnului Horia Nistor și domnului Alin Pînzaru, director al Gradinii Zoologice Brașov. Delaco a furnizat produsele lactate pentru sandvișuri. 

Acum copiii par să aibă altă sclipire în ochi; puțin mai multă bucurie. Și când ne văd, zâmbesc mereu. Știu că îi așteaptă ceva fain. Vom merge la ei în mod regulat și în următorul an școlar. Aveți 8 luni să vă gândiți. În luna mai vom organiza echipa pentru Școala de vară – Fiser 2019 și ne-am bucura să vă avem alături. 

Și e treaba serioasa. Va trebui:

1. Să vă puteți trezi de dimineața, chiar dacă e vacanța.

2. Să veniți să ne învățați ceva util și interesant.

3. Să pregătiți o ilustrație, o poveste sau o activitate legată de ceea ce ne veți învăța.

Însă, dacă nu aveți abilitați pedagogice, vă așteptăm:

1. Să împărțiți gustarea

2. Să feliați pepenele

3. Să faceți sandvișuri pentru excursie

Dar dacă și aceste activități nu vă sunt la îndemână sau nu aveți timp (cineva trebuie să și muncească), puteți dona bani pentru materiale și activități, cu mențiunea, școala de vară, în contul Asociației Eltera.

Prețuind dreptul copilului de a se dezvolta și deplin recunoscători pentru ca ne sunteți alături,

Büroeröffnung

Als wir unser Büro in Ghimbav eröffneten, stellten wir unsere Projekte vor. Wir wollen Kinder in Schwierigkeiten unterstützen und in ihre Entwicklung investieren. Unsere Freundlichkeit und  Geschenke könnten der einzige Unterricht in Großzügigkeit sein, den diese Kinder je erhalten werden.

Eltera ist ein Buch, und wir, die Freiwilligen, schreiben jeden Tag eine neue Seite. Die meisten unserer Kinder können noch nicht lesen, aber wir hoffen, dass sie unser Beispiel verstehen können.

Alex ist einer unserer Helfer-Superhelden. Er opfert sehr viel Freizeit und benutzt seine bewundernswerten Fähigkeiten, um den hoffnungslosen Kindern eine Chance zu geben. 

Gäbe es ihn nicht, hätten Bianca und ihre Familie kein neues und gut ausgestattetes Haus.

Alex ist auch in der Schule in Budila tätig. Dort koordiniert er die Aktion „Ein Bleistift für Rumänien“ für die zweite Klasse, wo Gabi auch Schüler ist.

Amalia und Andreea haben wichtige Aufgaben in einem internationalen Unternehmen. Bei uns ziehen sie sich Arbeitskleidung an und nehmen jede Herausforderung in die Hand: ob Stühle neu bespannen, Möbel zusammen bauen oder Räume einrichten.

Claudiu ist auf der Arbeit der Vorgesetzte. Aber wenn er mit uns arbeitet, setzt er sich mit den Kindern auf den Boden und zeigt ihnen, wie aus den Holzteilen ein Bett oder ein Kleiderschrank entsteht.

Wir versuchen jeden Tag, Stein für Stein, die kaputte Zukunft von Kindern wieder aufzubauen.

The office opening

We’ve talked about Eltera’s projects at the office opening in Ghimbav. We would like to support children that are in difficulty and invest in their development. It could be that our smiles and gifts are the only generosity lessons these children will ever learn. 

Eltera is a book. And we, the volunteers, write a page every day. Most of our children don’t know how to read yet, but we hope they can read our example.

Alex is one of our super heroes volunteers. He puts a lot of his limited free time and uses his amazing abilities to give a chance to hopeless children. 

If it weren’t for Alex, Bianca and her family would not have a new and nicely equipped home now. 

Alex has also taken on the Budila school where he coordinates the “A Pencil for Romania” program for the second grade where Gabi is also a student. 

Amalia and Andreea have important jobs in a multinational company. When they are with us, they put on work outfits and take on any challenge: they recondition chairs, assemble furniture and do interior designing. 

Claudiu is the boss at work. But, when he works with us he gets on the floor with the children and shows them how each piece of wood needs to be assembled to make a bed or a wardrobe. 

We try to build every day, brick by brick, the broken future of precious children.

Inaugurarea biroului

Am prezentat activitatea Asociației Eltera cu ocazia inaugurării biroului nostru din Ghimbav. Ne dorim să sprijinim copiii aflați în dificultate și să investim în dezvoltarea lor. Probabil că zâmbetele și dăruirea noastră sunt singurele lecții de generozitate pe care le vor învăța vreodată. 

Eltera este o carte. Iar noi, voluntarii, scriem câte o pagina în fiecare zi. Cei mai mulți dintre copiii noștri, încă nu știu să citească, dar sperăm să citească din exemplul nostru ori de câte ori ne întâlnim cu ei. 

Alex e unul dintre super eroii voluntari. Are foarte puțin timp liber la dispoziție, și totuși își sacrifică mult din timpul lui și folosește super abilitățile sale pentru a da o șansă unor copii ce se confruntă cu dificultăți. 

Bianca și familia ei nu ar fi avut o locuință nouă, frumos amenajată, dacă nu ar fi fost Alex.

Mai mult de atât, el a preluat școala din Budila și coordonează proiectul Un creion pentru România, acolo, pentru clasa a II – a, clasa în care este Gabi elev.

Amalia și Andreea ocupă funcții importante într-o multinațională. Cu noi, se echipează de muncă grea, și acceptă orice provocare nouă; tapițează scaune, montează mobilă și fac design interior. 

Claudiu e șef la locul lui de muncă. Dar cu noi, stă pe jos cu copiii și le arată cum pune fiecare bucată de lemn „așa cum trebuie” pentru a monta noul lor pat sau un dulap de haine. 

Construim în fiecare zi, cărămidă cu cărămidă, viitorul sfărâmat al unor copii prețioși.
